Professional
Biography
Dr.
Oakley qualified from Bristol in 1979 and then emigrated to New Zealand. Her
postgraduate training in dermatology was undertaken in New Zealand and the
United Kingdom (Westminster and Durham). She has been a specialist dermatologist
for Health Waikato since 1987, and is a director of the Waikato Skin Research
Association.
She is particularly
interested in laser therapy of facial veins and aging skin, photosensitivity
disorders, phototherapy, psoriasis and gynecological skin disorders. Academic
interests include health informatics, clinical trials, and teaching.
