Professional Biography

Meera Mahalingam, MBBS, PhD, FRCPath, Associate Professor of Pathology and Dermatology at UMASS Medical School, Worcester, MA graduated from India (MBBS) and trained in pathology initially in the UK and subsequently in the USA. She obtained a PhD from the University of London while doing her residency at King’s College Hospital, London and is a board certified pathologist in the UK (Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists) and in the USA. Completing her Fellowship in Dermatopathology at Boston Medical Center, Boston MA, she is a Board certified Dermatopathologist and is currently Director of Dermatopathology at UMASS Memorial. She serves on the Board of the American Society of Dermatopathology as Director of Quality Assurance and Laboratory Proficiency and has several publications and oral presentations/invited lectures to her credit.
